Could any of you fellas tell me if the front loader arms on my JCB 3C2 are the same distance apart as 3cx’s by any chance? I’ve got a standard bucket on the 3c2 and wouldnt mind a 4in1 or similar in the future, so it would be good to know if later buckets even quickfit backplates maybe? would fit.
Cheers boys. :)

I have a feeling that the buckets are interchangeable but perhaps someone with a a 3CX might be able to have a quick measure for you. You will need a third service. On our first 1970 Mk11 the 4in1 spool looked like an addition albeit from new. The single lever was used on the normal double spool plus a separate lever for the 4in1. Not the easiest layout to use. The Mk 111 had three separate levers on a triple spool.

Thanks Pete for taking the time to do that, and for your info on the 3rd service. It looks like I’ll have to think again eh!? ;)

Well it might not be so bad if you could find a triple spool from a breaker but I guess by the time you pipe it up and buy a half decent bucket it would be expensive.

1970 Mk 2 looks similar in the cab with 2 levers to our first one.
