Our old build 5 power train always had noisy brakes but improved when a used a JCB oil that was in fact meant for something else. (by recommendation). Some oil which seems good enough for wet brakes in ag tractors does not work in some construction spec machines. Had trouble with a Manitou with Hurth axle. In theory a good universal tractor transmission oil ought to work but may not. Straight EP oils will not work either.

This is the second type of transmission oil iv put in to here the first one was recommended to me by local company selling oil and filters exol optifarm but with out any result.
Could there be anything els or is everyone in agreement that it’s original JCB trans oil I need to put in.

The chattering is very bad and have to push the peddle very gentle to tray and slow down.

The Exol is a UTTO which is similar I guess to the oil I used in a Manitou axle. The LS diff would not work and the brakes chattered chronically. I used a LS EP oil and that seemed OK.

Exol Autotrans Transmission would be an ATF oil for torque converters/autoboxes. Not suitable for axles or brakes I don't think. I use a STOU 15w30 in mine and there's no chattering.

Agrimax is that the modern day equivalent to the old universal oil we put in the engine and back ends of old Massey tractors?

I'd say it would be Pete. There's 10w30 and 15w30 super universals but I don't know why there's a need for the two types...

Ha! Just been watching your Youtube vids Gethin  while trawling around for pointers on how to operate my own '87 3CX Grey Cab which I'm hoping is going to arrive this week.

That crack in the extra dig arm was a bit alarming  what current rating is your MIG? I'm hoping that my R-Weld 180 Inverter jobbie will be pokey enough for anything I might find, but I'm starting to get a bit twitchy now!

Good to see another fan of Tractol 927 too, sticks like s**t to just about anything as well as being damn good at keeping the tin worm off.
