Hi,
JCB 3CII Shovel single lever is operating when not being moved. If the lever is left towards tip shovel it slowly tips the shovel. if I move it towards raise bucket it is ok (this is the bit of slack on lever before any pressure felt). Either the return springs are not returning it or the valve not closing. Is there any adjustments on these or do I need to strip it down.
Thanks David

Re: 3CII Shovel single lever Fault
there is a spring at the base of the spool , either the spring has broken or the cap at the base is loose and letting it drop down and open up

Having Difficulty getting the nuts on the wheel undone so as to get access to the shovel lever. Have broken a 1/2" socket and socket bar, have ordered a 1" drive 5/8" socket and bar.

Re: 3CII Shovel single lever Fault
Using the 1" drive removed wheel OK, the spring at the bottom was all rusty and the cap full of rusty bits. Cleaned it all up and put some oil on it, all back together and working ok now.
Cannot understand why it was rusty, looked as if there had been water in there, but cannot see how it could get in there, there is a hole in the bottom of the cap, but would have thought the only thing that could leak into there is hydraulic oil.
Thanks David
