JCB 3c111 Hydraulic pump drive shaft screws

Post #1 by bbcobmike » Thu Sep 07, 2017 5:53 pm

Folks,

I am just replacing the crankshaft pulley, spacer, hydraulic pump drive shaft ( oh and crankshaft oil seal) on my 3c111 following a UJ seizing and the whole thing disintergrating.

The 4 screws / bolts holding the drive shaft flange to the pulley spacer are worn and the threads not as I would like. I need to clean/straighten the threads in the spacer and buy new bolts. I'm not trusting my thread guage or perhaps my eye sight!!

Could someone let me know what the thread size is...thanks.

It's OK I've got a new thread guage. The size is 3/8 UNF 24tpi

By the way the JCB dealer price for a new pulley..£300!! spacer £240 !!! shaft £300

Found a second hand pulley, got a new shaft from digger parts £150 and brazed the spacer together again.
