I have just got myself a project 8 i would think that there is not much if any difference between the late project 7 and a project 8. My local JCB dealer kindly printed me off a list of the oils and the quantity required for the machine.
For engine they recommend the following:
Cooling system JCB Universal Anti freeze (spec ASTM D3306-74)
Engine 15w40 - 9.7 litres
Syncro shuttle Gearbox JCB special transmission fluid (spec ESP-M2C 33G - 16.25 litres
Front Axle JCB plus hubs HD90 gear oil(spec API-GL-5 - 13 litres
Rear axle plus hubs JCB Special Gear Oil Plus (spec API-GL4 - 23 litres plus hubs 2 litres
Slew gearbox HD90 oil - 4.3 litres
Brakes servos JCB light Hydraulic Fluid (spec ISOVG15 15 grade hydraulic fluid light mineral) 1.4 litrs
Hydraulic system is 46 grade hydraulic oil. - 135 litres ( ouch)!
Hope that helps everyone,
I will post pictures of my new toy/ project very soon.

Re: JCB 3cx fluids
I would note there appears to be some difference in the performance of different gear oils for anti squawk even when in theory the oil should be ok. Our old powertrain was better with the JCB special than an UTTO. I also tried a SUTTO in our Manitou a couple of years ago causing the limited slip diff to malfunction and the brakes to squawk.
