Off to look at my first JCB friday - Advice please

Hi,

Im off to look at a 1986 white cab 3cx 2wd with 4in1 and extra dig.

Just want it for tidying up farm really to not fussed on 4wd as will only be used in the dry.

Basically im after an idiots guide to buying a 3cx ! what to look for and ideally a user guide so i can jump in and run it around on the test without looking like i don't know what im doing!
Any advice gratefully received
