Cylinder strokes JCB 3

Hi, a question about cylinder strokes. Because of a buckled rod, I've replaced the dipper cylinder with a spare shovel cylinder. Although the barrel length and retracted length is equal, the extended length is missing a couple of cm's.
In the parts diagrams Ive noticed some kind of stroke limiting bush in some cylinders, Im not sure if this bush is present in this particular cylinder. Anyone can confirm the presence of this bush? If so, I'll start making a tool to open up the barrel.

I seem to remember that the dipper would slow right down on the very last of the stroke inward i.e. the ram moving to fully open. I think this was engineered to reduce damage. IIRR it was effected by the piston partially closing the port at that point.

Got the cylinder disassembled now. There's a stroke limiting bush in this cylinder measuring 4cm.

Now the hunt for the new seals starts.
