JCB 3C2 - Half shaft nut size

Post #1 by Yozza » Sun Jun 29, 2014 11:10 pm

Hi folks,

I've just seen the post JCB 3C MkIII Rear Wheel covered in oil... and reminded me of the pool of oil sat below my rear wheels

Do any of you know the nut size holding the half shafts?

Do the half shafts easily remove or would they need jacking out?

In fact, any more tips on this procedure so as to limit my 'downtime'?

Thanks,
Yozza

The nuts on the end are 8 sided with a split pin through them, it is some times better to take the half shaft housing off all together as the reduction gear can be a pain to get back on
