Mystery controls.

Much appreciated if someone could tell me what these controls on the backhoe side do (or should do).
It is a JCB 3CX 1987

This seems to be some sort of hand brake, but it's stuck fully on and wont budge.
Also what is the oil reservoir with the red cap for?

This is a handy foot rest, but I'm sure it should do something else, again it is stuck and wont budge.

Regards

Mike

The hand brake was a safety clamp it lowered something down so you couldn't drop the back ackter. The reservoir is for fluid for back brakes I think. The foot rest is for extender on the dipper I think

The hand brake is for the boom lock , the pedal is for the extending dipper

the red capped reservoir is for the fluid to lift the boom lock operated by the handle , just disregard it , most did not last long
every village has one , is yours missing you
