Hi Guys,
New to the forum - great website BTW.
Im looking to buy either a mark 2 or 3 and I wish to know which engines had the cylinders with the rubber O rings at the bottom? Did some have them and some have non-removable cylinders?
The reason I ask is because i would perfer to buy a machine without because I know it is a big job to replace these if the rubber seals perish and let oil and water mix.
Many thanks in advance for the replies.

They all had wet liners. (removeable).Would have thought therefore, they all had o rings at the bottom.Perhaps at the top too--can't remember!
Not really a big job to replace either. Head off, sump off, pistons out and push/pull or tap the liners up out. The disadvantage of a dry block engine,ie no liners, is that it would have to be bored out to accept dry sleeves when it becomes worn or goes porous.

ok so they all had wet liners - thanks for that.
I thought i could have dodged a bullet!
Any particular engines/transmissions i should go for/not go for?
The powertrain model is handy but can lead to trouble i believe.
