3c mk3 gearbox oil

Post #1 by Tom90 » Tue Apr 29, 2014 3:37 pm

Hi all, I'm after some help again

I have a jcb 3c mk3 with manual gearbox
I checked the oil through the dipstick in the floor and it looked really creamy so probably full of water, I'm now going to change it but I wondered if anybody knew what oil to put in, I can get a load of sae 30 oil from work would this be ok?

Thanks for any help Tom

The purists will say no but it should be ok. My Leyland tractor runs ok even on the creamy stuff.

Can anybody tell me the dimension of the dipstick that's beside the gear sticks. e.g. total height, min height, max height. I have a jcb 3c mk3 with manual gearbox.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Dominic
