3CX Transmission Strainers
Does the transmission strainer in the sump of the early 3CX often get clogged up? Would a symptom of a clogged up strainer be simply a lack of power?

Yes it can but they are often clogged up by bits off clutch packs, is it the borge warner shuttle or the JCB electric box ?

The Borg Warner box. So, generally speaking, if you had a clogged up strainer you would have clutch packs in need of replacement?

Phil is almost certainly right, has your model got a filter in the system as that might give you a clue? Does the oil look normal? If you pull out the dip and drip some oil onto white tissue paper that might give an indication of oil state.
