An unusual picture, infact I have not seen one of these before apart from pictures on the brochures I have for it. It was based on the 3D backhoe model and the 'S' stands for Shovel.

It looks like the top one has been repainted so perhaps it has been refurbished and a hoe added at some point?

Yes,the top picture was manufactured as a 3DS (Shovel) and the backhoe added at a later date.
