Window and door glass for 1986 3CX

Post #1 by HiTop » Tue Jul 02, 2013 11:45 am

Is there replacement glass available anywhere??
Those doors are a bugger due to the curved glass. I'd love to be able to keep the stinking starlings out of the cab :arrrrgh: :arrrrgh:

Is it the one piece glass door where the hinges and catch bolt straight to the glass?

Hi Craig, I am in the middle of replacing the glass in my International tractor with acrylic sheeting I got from from Wickes. It is flexible so sounds like it will fit and is relatively cheap at £29.25 for an 1800x900mm sheet. Wickes part No is 210002,

cheers Rod

Are the cab frames completely different to the earlier and later cabs with the framed doors?

No idea of price.

Awesome, have not come across that one before. I'll have a guy in the UK soon so I'll get him to check it out.
Thanks,

I used a piece of poly carbonate in our old 3C111 sliding window for years and it was OK. Care with cleaning as it easily scratches. Would not want it in a back window or screen.
