I don't understand that is hard to get 5/8 or its metric size in France :dizzy: shame he was not closer as I have a fair bit of hose knocking around along with fittings and a good local contact for hoses. As I told him it will restrict flow volume but would get him running a least until he obtained the correct pipe for his machine. My mate has the Pirtek franchise in Swindon and Westbury he made up a loader ram hose for an old JCB 3C the other Saturday whilst I was working in Westbury
Any news on Mike Harding Fred ?
Cheers
Martyn

Hi Matyn,
Mike is not at all well, but he's in work, I was working with him on Friday. He and Tudor were re-sealing a big Indeco hammer.
:offtopic: I'm down there cracking on with the TD18 now. Got a few problems mounting the hydraulic pump, it is off a different TD 18 and I've got to moddify the pump drive and /or mounting.
Will put some pics. in Projects when I remember to take my camera.
Fred

Hi there Martyn, I would certainly be interested in getting your mates details, I have shipped in quite a bit of stuff for my old machine including a half shaft and a valve chest for the back actor so I am not averse to paying for a bit of weight to be shipped. I would be interested in getting a price for the straight and swept 90 bend reuseable fittings. I have no idea why the 5/8 hose is harder to find here but on seeing the stock in the workshop I use for getting new hoses they had around half a coil compared to 2-3 coils of other sizes. Could be French way of hiking the prices to a "rich" Englishman

Did any Mk2 3C's have 3/4" hose fitting on the backhoe rams? I need a bucket ram for a 3Dmk2 with a 3/4" male thread and all my bucket rams I have found are 5/8.
