I had six phone calls on Monday of a person desperate for a 3C that was presentable. The problem is there is not as many of those "right people" as what there were. There is definately a market for diggers in that condition. Everybody judges books by their covers. If you do buy it to sell on don't expect a quick "turn." There's going to be a lot of people who'll regret scrapping their 3C or not buying a cheap 3C when they had a chance.

It certainly looks very tidy I might look in to it it would be very handy for me if I bought it I would probably keep hold of it and maybe sell it eventually for something newer it's just a shame it doesn't have a 4in1 could a 4in1 be retro fitted?

If it has the 3 lever block then it can easily be fitted. 4 in 1 buckets appear regularly on Ebay for pennys. It would be a worthwhile job.

Curious about this Mark , do you mean they are going to become collectors items or will be worth more as 'work tools' in the future

Craig, I was really meaning as work tools but collectability is another angle as well. 3C's in full working order are available for sale at scrap value. In, say, ten years time would it be likely that a 3CX in full working order be available for sale at scrap value? - They wont be.
