new tyres

Post #1 by grant » Wed Dec 15, 2010 8:30 pm

hi i got 3 new tyres fitted to my 3cx last week two fronts and 1 rear due to me knackering one of the back ones about 6 months ago they have put 3 michelin power cl's on i noticed today (first time i have been on machine since the snow)that the new michelin size 460 80 26 looks bigger in the side wall than the older 18.4 26 which is a budget tyre i measured from tread to tread on both and there is about 3" of difference just wondering if i should complain to the mechanics about it being a bit lop sided

May be worth contacting them, but a bit of time has gone by now. Most good firms will offer a solution.

Think I will have a word with our mechanic in the morning they did the same to one of our 2cxs and it wore the bucket cutting edge down on one side if I remember right.can't see thm spending another 400 on another back tyre to match though
