Guy Martin WW1 tank

Post #1 by Whitlock 505 » Fri Nov 24, 2017 11:11 am

Did anybody see the programme on Guy Martin building or watching the WW1 tank being built at the JCB factory? They only went and used the gearbox and drivetrain from a Whitlock 605 digger

Hi Jeremy

Yes the Whitlock was scrapped to provide the drive unit for the tank, the tank was built using 21st century techniques and the substructure was welded and dummy rivets welded in to make it look like the original mk4
