If it's 1968 it is not a 3c mark 3 or 111. If it is the same as the one in your picture, it is a 3c mk 2 or 11. I had both and the same silencer will fit either.The engines are slightly different internally but the manifolds are the same.The early 3c mk2 originally had a 3.8 4/99 BMC and the later ones right through to the 3c mk3 and early 3cx ,used the 3.8 4/98.
However,there is a possibility that it is a 3 MK3. Not 3 ''C''. Think you're confusing the 3 and 3C. If it is indeed a 3,can't think why the above silencers won't still fit.
