Re: some photos for Nick Lamb A77
Wow Noel,those bring back memories!!!!what a man .
The top pic is of Geddis Plants 155 and box with C.at winch. They also had a D8K and box with Komatsu winch??The second pic is of 2 x68A's belonging to Maurice??? Hickey??of Durham area.I won't sleep tonight untill I remember his name!.The middle D8 is a 22A belonging to Billy Kitchen of Northumberland area(ex Merrimans).
The D9N or BB's was brought in to replace an ageing D9H of theirs which Levack's purchased. That 9N blew 2x final drives on that job.
The TS24 B10's were Ranesway Plant's(BB's).They bought a 5th 24 from Wimpey Mining as spares but it was that good they kept it as a 5th scraper.I last saw them in 2002ish at Berwick working in new white Terex livery.
The D10N was on a job at Abingdon/Crawford.If you have any D8 pics of that job they will be of my tractors!.
THe D10N sufered a few problems on that job including a cracked bevel casing which spells doom for a big tractor like that.
I will post pics of that job in due course.
Thanks again Noel, you've made my day.
