Hi folks
I'm restoring an ex Beck & Pollitzer Scammell 20 LA ( 1948 ) does anybody have any pictures of their ballast tractors working? Mine is fleet number 103, one of 3 based from Southhawk, London.

Not working but parked in the yard at Dartford, late 60s. if my memory serves me right it had a winch mounted under the chassis and was occasionally "low loadered" to jobs where the winch was required. I worked for Becks for seven years and it was still there when I left - early 70s.
May be able to point you in the direction of an ex BP employee who may be able to help you - PM me if you are interested.
