The photo of the Renault looks modern until you look at the car and realise it could be 20+ years ago!

From memory the AE was around from about 1991, so 30ish years ago - scary!
Am I right in thinking the AE/Magnum was originally supposed to have the door in the back of the cab? I'm sure I read something like that from Commercial Motor magazine and we stopped getting that around 1987.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Launched in 1990 - There was talk of the door being in the rear of the cab - Project Virage VE10 was the prototype the AE/Magnum came from

The Renault AE in the pic was first registered in 1995 but its last MOT ran out in 1996....which is a bit strange as the Rover 200 next to it is on a 1997 reg

An anomaly of having private plates fitted perhaps? My old P38 has had 5 previous owners and 4 different reg no's...!

Possibly, the DVLA check site normally lists the last vehicle assigned that VRM, so it's possible they moved the plate on to retention, but as the last record for that VRM is from 1996, and the Rover 200 alongside in the pic couldn't have existed until 1997, it's a bit odd...especially as the DVLA never get things wrong of course...
