Hi Graham Yes it's nice talking to chaps who've worked on these old firms like Dick Hamptons.There's a retired driver on one of the trucking websites who drove for Hamptons when they had a bonneted Scammell highwayman and a Foden 2 stroke with 4 in line trailers and he says they used to put 38 RB's and Cat D9's on them-talk about axle weight. :thumbs_up: Tim

Hey Steve,these boys like the cuttings as much as the fellas over on Trucknet,will put some more tippers and low loaders etc as a priority ok :thumbs_up:

Thanks some great photos. My father had AEC, Dodge and Foden at various times so many memories there. The picture of an S reg AEC Mammoth Major must have been close to the demise of AEC.

I think they had more than one Tim,i used to see them at the Colnbrook depot with bulk trailers on.
