Seem to remember Sparrows having a depot on the Bristol Road in Gloucester when we used to go to Weston Super Mare in the late 60's before the M5 was completed.

Yes the Muir Hill was available to civilian use, MH also built 2wd models in that era with a similar style of offset cab and semi mono boom.

That looked to have been a nice building in the last photos.
How the UK street scene has changed in the last 30 years. Hardly see a 180 wheeled now. I actually saw a Cat 180 just off some road works on the A13 here in Essex. Looked quite a powerful machine and it was flying along at between 25 and 30mph.

The industrial David Brown 990 (selectamatic?) is a rare one, and a nice shot of a Foden 4000 - always liked those.
Is the last pic the A692 Mam Tor road?
