I think it’s a GINAF Jeremy

I would suggest it is a geological seismic survey vehicle. During the early/mid 80's there were a lot of surveys going on around south Berkshire which involved hundreds of microphones planted in the road verges then a convoy of 3 vehicles (in our case, similar to a County FC) trundled along, stopped, jacked themselves up on a large steel plate and vibrated the plate for about 30 seconds then back on their wheels, moved on the length on the convoy and started again, we were told searching for oil. Doesn't tie up too much with the picture, but about the same time in the same area there were what appeared to be some very heavy duty type swb Merc 6x6 trucks with cabin bodies and what looked like a huge winch partially concealed within the bodywork. These were usually parked over a large ground access cover with the cable down the hole. No clue as to what they were up to but the colour and markings are identical to your photo. Baker-Hughes currently run similar vehicles.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Is that a Fowler or a Track Marshall dozer behind the 'beat up' Bedford in the last photo?

I had a quick Google. It seems Ginaf are a long established Netherland special truck maker now sadly owned by a Chinese company. GINAF often use DAF truck parts.

Interesting top two photos there Steve  what a combination, part of a boom off a very early Ruston hydraulic excavator and the front of a 400 series Seddon Atkinson, but that is only from the cab forward the rest of the chassis and axles are from a completely different truck

That last pic looks like something from either Thunderbirds or a '70's Matchbox catalogue.
The front hubs look like a reduction type. Front wheel drive?
