The town centre demo is staggering. I know it was ''then'' but there does not appear to be any form of segregation of public from the job!

Yes Pete that crossed my mind too unfortunately today things have gone bonkers with OTT health and safety concerns; just jobs for the boys and of course big business for the no win no fee brigade.

What an odd machine in Steve's last photo.
Great black and white photos Roger.
I assume the double split cabs were for a driver's mate? Don't remember seeing that type of layout.

Pete that was the Poclain TU the first hydraulic excavator manufactured by them; it was powered via a power take off from the tractor that towed it.

Nice pics Steve my favourite is the TYS in the last photo although the HC300 is a close second.
