One a Reiver and one a Mastiff! Was that just a different gearbox and engine by that time?

Not sure Pete but the Reiver was local to where I live so I have probably seen that very truck around many moons ago now.

HI, If I remember rightly the Mastiff had the Perkins V8 and the Reiver had the Leyland engine.

That's a lot of Commers! Would the collective phrase be a 'Punctuation of Commers'? Or I guess if they'te all TS3 powered maybe a 'Bark'. Any idea what the pickup is in front of the shovels?
Looking at the two in the last pic, what is the purpose of the flat trailers and tipping gear?
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

I think the pickup is a Commer similar to this

The Trailers carry Containers with product that could be tipped out. You can see the twist locks on the trailer for securing the Container.

Cheers

Thanks, nice looking motor. I'm guessing similar in size to a Bedford J or Leyland WF?
If I'd studied a bit closer I may have seen the containers in the backgrond and put 2 and 2 together! 1/10 for observaion.
