We used to see a few bonneted Maggie 6 wheelers around this area. They had a very distinctive sound.
Going back to the earlier photos, I wonder how the Bedford KMs fared on dump truck duties?

Hadn't thought of that, and I think you're right. I was trying to read the name on it but couldn't get it to focus.

2nd from last in the quarry with the wooden barrows; chap on the plank looks like he's about to empty his barrow onto the poor sod standing underneath with his hands on his hips...Guess he was the gaffer then

Interesting set of photos the third one shows a Hymac 580/B fitted with a 'hard dig' very short dipper arm the wheeled dozer in the first photo looks an interesting beast.
