Hello Roger,
It's great to see all this old gear, thank you again. A D8R and D4C with boxes, a 955, Drotts and a Muir Hill Dumper. Was it a 14B :?:
I worked on most of these things back in the day.
I see the Priestman Wolf belonged to Bath Plant, I'm pretty sure we had a Priestman 120 on hire from them when I was involved with the
flood prevention scheme at Bath circa 1969/70.
Fred.

Hello Fred

This collection of pictures was taken by my late uncle, I was still at school when this new school was being constructed. My entry into plant did not begin until 1963, I cannot comment much on the machines in my uncle's pictures.
When I have exhausted my uncle's pictures I may post some of my pictures through the 70's.

This is a picture of me levelling at the same school when the building work was completed

These pictures are from the second phase of the town centre demolition, featuring equipment from Carpenters Plant hire, Yeovil.

Wonder if the bank gave way under the Hymac 580 laying on its side? Great pics as ever.

I know I've posted this pic before, but the scary bit is that I was following a loader that looked very much like the one above.
If those pics were taken in winter '85/6 somewhere near Nettlebed I'm going to go and buy a lottery ticket.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
