Yes I think the middle axle parked on rocks is lifting the whole thing up.

In the vid the body is identical but I think it's an 800 cab.
The only D series with a driven front axle I recall out of County was the TracTruck. Can't find a pic at the moment, and probably a good thing too..! The more I think about it, I'm not sure it was a driven axle, maybe just floatation tyres.

Going back to the 1970's we had three of these Linden Tower Cranes working in East Grinstead they were all dark blue with Yellow cabs on was a taller crane with the two mast sizes like the one in the picture, The other two cranes were just on standard sized masts and were on contract to the local building company called Longley who were eventually taken over by Kier many years later.
The thee linden cranes all had writing on the counterweights like this one I remember that the name was "Ferry Iron Works" I have tried to find out more about this company over the years but drawn a blank, These Linden cranes were fairly common I also remember one working in Edenbridge again in the same colours. Any more info or pictures would be greatfuly received by myself.
During the 70's there were really only Linden, Potain, Liebherr, Pingon & Babcock tower cranes in use.

Nice Hymac 580BT in the fourth photo, and a nice pic of the Poclain 90 rubber duck in the first shot.

I would have thought grab trucks were a fairly recent creation, 20 or 30 years perhaps. The Albion confirms otherwise.

I thought that as well. Is it a straight tipper or a bin?

Don't see any rollers on the back of the body.
In the last pic, are those buckets tied down?
