Is the last pic the A692 Mam Tor road?

Here's an even rarer industrial David Brown. I think it used the 52 hp. 990 engine.

Have seen the odd highway DB over the years but never seen a dedicated loader and much less one with a backhoe/digger on the back. I wonder by whom the digger was built?

I can safely say I've probably never seen or heard of one of those, although, with the loader down I reckon it would be hard to distinguish from a Massey 203 at a distance. It looks to be US spec, center pivot back actor with fold down stabilisers, multi rib front tires, hood, and a muffler.
Ed to ad (from a previous topic)... I've just noticed the loader rams are upside down!

If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Looks like a Sherman backhoe as also fitted to Brays.
Got a DB book somewhere that has a different DB backhoe loader that they sold ( few of ) in UK IN 60s

Hi,
I've done a bit of research on this one now, and I reckon your spot on with the digger being Sherman.
Strange geometry with no hoist or arm ram visible in the pic. I think it's based on the "Sherman Panther."
See below.
I think too, that the Tenneco Case takeover may well have brought an end to this project

Similar to the Wain Roy design as well; definitely very odd looking indeed.
