Yes Pete, a fair old load.
It's a local truck to me, Larry Ryan ran a fleet of these Mercurys carrying reclaimed coal from the South Wales Valleys Tips to Cardiff Docks and the power stations circa late 50s/ early 60s.
They were a brilliant truck in their day, like a car to drive with what was then the luxury of power stearing and full air brakes.

That was before they wasted a fortune bringing in HGV 1,2,and 3 licences, proper drivers with real experience didn't need the all round mirrors considered esential today.

Tha Wimpey tippers are AEC Mammoth Major6 mk3 and the 4 wheeler is a Seddon mk5L
