Yes Clive ,with blade and rops removed. That would be at least 18 ton off a 75 ton tractor.I also reckon the shank would be out of the ripper?.A ton or so on that!
In those days that could only have been Stoke Y's,Crouch Minings or Thompson ' s

I wonder if the photo was taken in this country cos although the vehicles use the same side of the road as us you cannot see the registration numbers of the cars to confirm this? I wondered if it was somewhere like Malta?
Also what year did the D10 high sprocket dozer come into production? Just something about the whole photo does not look right to me.

The D10 went into production in 1977-Thompsons bought theirs in 1979.I don't think the pic was taken in Malta as the 141 passed to Trendale Heavy Haulage in Cornwall after Brackmills.

Wonder if your right about it being a model in the first picture? The front number plate is in a different position? Could all be photo-shopped?

Dunno if thats a model or not I doubt it is or photo shopped or chopped or what ever its called
I know I can put a complete D 9G with rippers and blade still on on the Mack and triaxle float , I dunno how much they weigh like that would be over 50 ton I would think at guess need a lot of air in the tyres and they still kiss but just poke along nice and gently steady steady if you know what I mean dont go above 50 km/h

How much would a stripped down D 10 weigh ??? no rippers or blade

Paul
