Still, on a lighter note Matt Lonsdale, Richards son showed me a load of old photo's of their kit a while back. I'll have to twist his arm and get some posted up. Here's hoping.......

I heard that another old sussex name may soon be disappearing Clive- that of J Thomas Southern- who have been going since the 1930's i believe. It would be great if we could get to see some of the Honer pics, this is the only other pic i've got of any of their kit-a D8 pulled by a Unipower and Matador at a steam rally.

I'll see if I can get some. I'll be talking to Matt Lonsdale at the end of the week. As for Thomas' I always thought they were owned by Mackley. Obviously I was wrong!

Hello Guys,

I came across your posts, searching for info on Bent Marshall. I now own the Scammell Amazon CR100 that Rob talked about. I'm in the very slow process of restoring it.
I'll add some pics, next time i logon.

Hi Tim
Lovely to see that Crusader which by chance will be arriving back in the Watford area, a mere 2 miles from the Scammell factory gates, on Monday and e put in a rather long line of other crusaders already here!
Would love to get my hands on those pictures if you have them in higher resolution
Anyone got a cab for one.....

Hi Plantters, I'm in regular contact with the man who owned that scammell, the Honer one! I'm sure he'd be interested in the restoration!
