them brocklebanks lads are good drivers, ive loaded them many a times and they can shift some muck in a day

my old scammell routeman 1978 ,one owner from new my dad sadly passed away.
need a new bumper and headlights for this truck if any one has any spares please let me know thank`s

I don't suppose there are many Routmans left. When was it last on the road?

it has only 67000 k`s it has been parked since 1982 ,very hard to get parts need headlights and a few bit`s.even tyres are hard to get.
my dad did muck away in london then moved to ireland but in 82 they had 6 wheelers and would just load them till it fell off and you only got payed by the load so he parked it .he had 2 poclains a 60 + 75 and a erf ,tasker low loader so just did plant hire ,not many routemans in Ireland
but there is a good number in england.cheers john

hi Mark ,it allways amazes me when i am on a planing job and the tarmac starts to turn up,brand new 8 wheelers with sleeper cab ,alloys all the toys .i have to keep my truck 10 years to pay for it !!!

Also have a pic of a premix 8 wheeler daf. i no it aint a tipper but as the lorry was so immaculate i thought it deserved to be posted up

Nice pics Jimmy-the Daf 75 looks useful-tipper, drawbar and artic-how long does it take to mount/demount the tipper body ?
