Great pictures Steve,I remember the Dicker Magnum-Steve Lucas used to drive that.It must have clocked up some miles-3 trips a day from Aldershot to Brogborough -junction 13 M1.Hadleys seem to run just about every make of truck these days and i remember seeing some Hughes Renaults in Selsey a few years back bringing in shingle for the beaches after the storms. Tim

Tim,
I remember Steve that used to drive it, when it was part exchanged it had almost a million kilometres on it.The one Steve drove was double drive but single rear wheels, they had another one that was 6x2 rear lift but suffered traction problems.
They had a number of Renaults over the years.Don't know what happened to Steve and i presume Keith retired.
Great bloke Keith - had a lot of time for him and Steve.
Cheers
Steve

Steve- last time i saw Steve Lucas aout 8 years ago he was working for Mick Collard but i haven't seen him around the area since. Keith Dicker sold out to Taurus Waste run by ex A&J Bull directors-hence the name- and their wagons run in the Bull maroon livery. Tim

Tim,

Great picture - wing top missing as usual :D

I've a copy of Truck somewhere with an article on Keith and the Magnums.

I towed in it one Sunday after it had a diff fitted near Brogborough - they fitted one with the wrong ratio so being double drive one axle was going at a different speed to the other :dizzy:
Keith not a happy chap but to be fair the plate on it said 10 x 41 but when we counted it it was 11 x 41 :(
Steve said it drove like something was winding up ;)
I remember staying one Xmas eve sorting out a fuel problem on it (V8 MACK 500 Bhp) and everyone else went home just leaving me and Steve to it .

Cheers
