Thanks Steve, the JCB leaflets are interesting with the prices written on. I am guessing 1966/67? Quite expensive pieces of kit in someways.

Wouldn't want to put the TK on the scales.
There's some youtube film of a Bedford RL at an Avon-Dasset play day. It's easy to forget how capable they are off road.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

The TK was certainly sat down! I wonder what it would have grossed officially? 12ton at a guess?

Nice early Ford powered 580C there in the first photo :thumbup: and yes the TK does look rather well loaded. :thumbup:

Yes think the MK 4x4 replaced it 1969/70.

The Leyland Octopus was reintroduced in that era, from what I have read. BL used the updated high datum cab which for some reason AEC were not given access to for their 8 wheeler Mamoth Major. Apparently the 500 series "headless" engines were an unmitigated disaster for Leyland.
