Could it be the front end of something like a Cat 660 or DW20F scraper?
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Yes I think you are right Rob, a heavy tractor to pull a scraper box. Reckon it might pre-date the 1950s.

Yes I reckon the side of the scuttle, steering position and back axle hub look very similar.
