Another French product the Tractomas built by Nicolas, better known for their heavy haulage trailers,featuring a Renault/Berliet cab and powered by a Cummins KTA 18 litre 450 hp engine :thumbs_up:

Nice period picture, Tim. I've never heard of Tractomas or Nicolas, were they made in UK ?

No Steve -the one that Econofreight ran was the Sunters of Northallerton machine and was painted in Econofreight's livery when they took over Sunters.It operated as a ballasted drawbar tractor weighing 48 tons and apparently was a very powerful machine having pulled loads of 1000 tons over short distances on sites and apparently could keep up speeds of 45 to 50 mph when hauling empty multi axle trailers weighing around 50 tons on road. :thumbs_up: Tim
