Grandfather had the older bonneted petrol 5ton commer on a greengrocery round. It seemed really old fashioned even in 1967!

Hi Pete,
They haven't got the slightly deeper front bumper with the big TS3 silencer mounted under / behind it.

I recall that Chas Penn's scrap yard had an old Dodge with the same cab as the Commer Maxi-load (that had the TS3 engine), as a kid I had hoped that this Dodge would have the same TS3 engine but I was disappointed to find it was fitted with the quieter Perkins engine. :thumbup:

Anorak on... FV1119 Martian heavy recovery, Rolls Royce B81 5.6l straight 8 petrol, 175 - 220 hp. Anorak off.
