Hi Jack, great pics but we would love to know a bit more about these machines that look like something from "thunderbirds" ..what is that Blue machine in your first picture for instance, and what is its function ?

The First Machine is a Rottne RK140, Its the machine that cuts the trees down and then to size.

This is a Forwarder, It collects the logs and takes them to the Mill or holding yard for road transport.

Amazing machines, what ever happened to the Lumberjack, i wonder if the operators of these machines have buttered scones for tea ?
