APF Forestry Show Pull Out

Hello Lads,

Went to see the pull out at Cannock Chase. Luckily for me and you I was allowed to roam around the site and take lots of pictures. :thumbs_up:

Hi Jack, great pics but we would love to know a bit more about these machines that look like something from "thunderbirds" ..what is that Blue machine in your first picture for instance, and what is its function ?

The First Machine is a Rottne RK140, Its the machine that cuts the trees down and then to size.

Liebherr R924C , The attachment is a log grapple, and the Attachment On the floor is a stump grinder.

This is a Forwarder, It collects the logs and takes them to the Mill or holding yard for road transport.

Amazing machines, what ever happened to the Lumberjack, i wonder if the operators of these machines have buttered scones for tea ? :o but great pics Jack, the weather was kind as well.
