I've met the guy at a couple of shows. The problem with the films he sells, or at least the ones I've bought from him, is that they are actually filmed from a screen while the original is being shown to an audience, usually during an annual event in Bristol that he organises and which in itself would be worth going to.
The picture quality therefore suffers and you get all the audience noise, conversation, coughing etc!! That's why the Ebay description says "This DVD recorded during a showing of the film described. "
But they are the only way many of us will see these excellent old films.
