Looking at some slinging and chain video for a training course I am writing for the Great Western Electrification and found these on the video so took a screenshot, some of you may remember this company if you are from South Wales, my first ever job after leaving college was as a hire desk clerk with Celtic Cranes back in 1988 and the cranes in the photo are the PPM 25ton rough terrain, 70ton Grove (RCY 350Y) and you can just see the back of the cab of the Foden double drive artic unit that used to run out of our head office in Dafen Llanelli, I was based in Taffs Well depot where Minimix is now.

Fired up some of the machines yesterday, its so hot up here the D2 diesel fired up after only a minute or so of cranking the donkey.

I am off down the the Welsh show with the wife on Sunday we are showing one of our horses on Monday so i am hoping there will be a decent machinery display to look at while we are there and some decent booze to quench my thirst!
