Just had a look at the Flckr site. Obviously somebody else besides me has a great interest in Woolfendens and Lorains.

walter seemed to have operated alot of cranes and it must have cost a fortune to ship the lorains over from america ?

Most of the cranes were shipped over during or after the war by the US Military and WW bought them at disposal sales and refurbished them. He did however purchase some of the later ones in the States. If you look at Flickr and search for Woolfenden Cranes there are a great number of pictures posted by Jib Up and others, including some of the cranes when still in the US.
