Impressive kit there. The Sarens is mighty, but I bet the bladder of the tower crane driver was stonger! How many pop bottles of pee a day do you produce up there without coming down! And what about on a blowy day..........the number 2's dont bare thinking about!
I'm more impressed with that tower crane thats some serious erection.
I know that some jack themselves up to grow, but does anyone know if that works in reverse so you can almost taken them down to a sensible level to lift apart?

Wow what a super bunch of pics!! that is some height that tower crane is at,I'm usually immune or oblivious to tower cranes but I have to acknowledge this one,and a nice bonus with the AC700 Sarens there too,I caught sight of this girl too one Friday on the way home from work early, accompanied by a Sarens Transit(not nearly as impressive ) on the M50 heading north

Hi Darren,
Thats some height of Tower Crane And some ladder rungs to climb every day. I bet that the wind speed does'nt have to be high before it's unsafe to work up there with the sway

Re: Sarens ac 700 in waterford
These tower cranes can climb themselves back down but there are not too many in the uk that use the climbing cage mechanism, P. C Harrinton, Select and Falcons can use climbing cranes but if you remember what happened at Canary Wharf and East Croydon if a mistake is made or the wind gusts up when climbing you are in big trouble. As for working in the wind it depends on the crane makers spec most tell you to wind off at 40mph some will still work at 45mph but it is a dangerous game especially with shuttering!! the tower crane there is a German Wolf, Excellent pictures there model nut.
