used to drive a 30 rb lorry mounted also a22rb on a foden chassis with a2 stroke foden engine magic when it was on the road

Yes Craig,
But here "is" a photo of a 22 RB on A Foden chasis.
I think most of the British manufacturers had a go at the truckmount market in the late 1950's/60's.
Backhoe loaders etc. were in their infancy so maybe they were looking for mobility. Here are some more photos of some of them.

hi this is a 30rb lorry mounted crane when she was new 1961 ish .it worked loading coils at port talbot steel works 24 hour shifts 7 days a week until about 1980
