Hymac Hy-Lift 675

As promised in the excavator thread, here are some more pics of the Hymac Hy-Lift 675 crane that I took today.
I think a lot of these machines passed to a company called NRC and this one is no exception as it still wears their livery.
With only the cab looking to be different in design, the base and platform are clearly those of the Hymac 610C which of course is a wheeled version of the famous 580C excavator.
I am also posting some of the machines specifications for those who are intrested.
There can't be many of these around anymore so its always good to find a machine like this in such good condition.

Interesting stuff Jeremy.
NRC Plant are still trading, they are UK dealers for Hitachi Sumitomo and Link Belt cranes as well as offering specialist plant hire inc. crawler cranes. NRC are owned by Joseph Gallagher, the tunelling and specialist civil engineering contractor.

Just wondering, does anyone know how many Hy-Lift 675's are still alive or yet to be scraped.

There were only 45 of these made so there aren't very many left, this one is the only one that I have come across or know of at this time.

Hi Harvey and welcome
I would be most interested to see the photos of the crane that you have just saved as you're flying the Barbados flag I doubt very much that this is the same crane as this one is located in Lincolnshire, it was once part of a fleet all painted the same owned and operated by a company called NRC.

Thanks Harvey that is the very next registration number to the crane in Lincolnshire; the only difference that I can see is that yours has 580BT style panels over the hydraulic pumps the other crane has 580C type, plus the cab is different on your machine more of a traditional 580 cab, and the jib is painted a different colour.
Are you planning a restoration it would be good to see it saved and it looks to be in reasonable condition for its age although I'd take a guess that the brakes will require some attention.
