Some photo's from the floating lemniscate crane which I drive in the harbor of Rotterdam.
Manufacture of the crane is 'Figee'. Capacity is 36 tons from 12 to 43 mtr.

That's a very impressive looking crane, Adrie. Does the barge tip much when you have a large load, or is there some sort of counterbalance ?

There is indeed a counter balance. These are the blocks on both sides of the crane.
when I luffing in they go forwart, luffing out they go backwards as you can see on the photo's
Do not ask how mutch they weight, I really don't know but the barge don't tip over so mutch.
which I do know is that the whole crane weights about 700 tons.

I hope you understand it, my Englisch is not so goodImage

Another photo with a 35 m3 agribulk grab in a barge. Image

we use them for trimming in the vessels.
The excavators on the photo was a caterpillar 320, Komatsu 240, 210.
We have now new Hitachi excavators. two Hitachi Zaxis 250 LC, one Zaxis 210, one Zaxis 180 and several litle ones like a Komatsu PC138 and neuson ect.

Here I put a Zaxis 250 in a hold of the vessel.

Here they are cleaning up a seperation.

Don´t worry. I would say that your English is absolutely good enough.

About the pics:
I didn´t notice how big that crane and barge is until Martyn pointed out the excavators on board. That crane is huge!
And the second last pic really shows the size. That 25 ton Hitachi excavator looks like a toy!

Incredible, Adrie,

the picture of the Hitachi that you are lifting, is the operator still in the cab ?

Looks like there is sombody in the cabin but i can ensure you there is nobody in.
Maybe a jack or something else from the operator. Image
