Hi all,
I am very very new to your site, like 1 hour, but I hope you will still help me.
I posted a "hello" post in the new member section.
On a free listing sales site in Malaysia someone was selling an old yard crane and it caught my eye.
The information I have is not much, I do have a picture but I do not know how to attach it to this site and I do not have a smart phone.

Information I have is :-
The crane was made in Japan, around 1957, it is a 5 ton capacity, 6 wheels, model KD - 50A. It has an isuzu engine 4 cyl.
I completed a search and contacted a company called "Unic"
The reply said, yes we made the crane, but no body has any information and we do not have any design spec or details.
When the crane was made the company was called KYOEI KAIHATSU and then renamed to "FURUKAWA" and then bought out by "ONIC', these people makes hi abs for lorries.
I would like to buy this ( and the wife will kill me!!!!!!!) but it is worth saving. This would be a very large project for 1 person, but i cannot find any information,.
Does any one know of it, or someone who might know????
Here is hoping

Hi Rabet

Welcome to the site, where there is a wealth of information, that would make a fantastic project and would be saving a part of Japanese manufacturing, looking at the company history, 1957 was when they developed the mechanical hydraulic crane so it could very well be one of the companies first!hope the wife agrees to it!!! I found a pic off a hiab but could not find a 1957 crane, good luck, keep us updated, all like minded people on here
