CRANE IDENTIFICATION HELP PLEASE

Post #1 by Antarking » Mon Jul 04, 2016 3:01 pm

Hi everyone,

Wonder if there is anyone on here who can help identify a crane for me. I have emailed Hewden three times without any success to ask the identity of this vehicle for a magazine article. See attached picture, Time period is July 1990, vehicle reg is B 270 UWY. Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Tricky one that!

My initial thoughts are an early Demag HC920

Nope I was wrong! Dah you were spot on, here she is in brown, but the contributor on a foreign website says she was yellow when he saw it again in 1991 .

Gentlemen, thank you.
Three weeks of waiting for a reply from the corporate sector and I ask you and get all the answers in less than seven hours. Brilliant!
Thanks to both Dah and Whitlock 505 for your help and equally to the German enthusiast and his website. You will see the fruits of your efforts published later in the year. I will post the magazine and its cover date when I know which edition it will be in.
Again, appreciate your time and effort.
Best wishes,
Mike.
